| Special Forces School - (2 members)The Special Forces School was established as the Reconnaissance Commando School at Dukuduku on 1 May 1976, as a sub-unit of 1 Reconnaissance Commando (1RC). During July 1981, it was decided to make the school responsible to also train National Servicemen as operators. The RC School was redesignated the Special Forces School on 4 June 1981, but was officially closed down on 4 June 1982, when it became the training Wing of 1 Reconnaissance Regiment (1RR) (1.2 Commando), situated in Durban. No shoulder flash for this unit was ever authorised or worn. Members of SF School simply wore the insignia of 1RR.
