515 Security Squadron (515 SQN) was based at AFB Ondangwa and was responsible for the security of the base. When AFB Ondangwa closed down, the squadron was relocated to AFB Louis Trichardt (which is now AFB Makhado).This squadron still provides a full spectrum of protection services to ensure the safeguarding of assets and personnel, specifically security services.
