The Bophuthatswana Defence Force One Military Area within which fell One Infantry Battalion (a COIN unit based at Molopo) and the BDF Parachute Battalion (at Lehuru Tshe). The Parachute Battalion had one parachute company (of more than normal strength) and two infantry companies. Originally, training for this battalion took place at One Parachute Battalion in Bloemfontein in 1989.
