The 73 Motorised Brigade Headquarters Unit [Afr: 73 Gemotoriseerde Brigadehoofkwartiereenheid] was initially established at the Witwatersrand Command Headquarters, in 1974, in order to administer the logistical and financial aspects of 73 Motorised Brigade Headquarters as well as handling the disciplinary aspects of all headquarters personnel. Later the HQ was moved to Vereeniging for a while, but In 1980 the HQ was finally moved to the headquarters building in Kensington, Johannesburg
