24 Squadron SAAF - (3 members)

24 Squadron (24 SQN) was formed in East Africa in 1941 and disbanded in March 1946, reformed again at Bloemspruit in April 1946 with B-34 Venturas, a citizen force complement of Harvards was added in 1948, but was disbanded in 1951. With the purchase of the Buccaneer, the squadron was reformed at RNAS Lossiemouth in 1965 before flying back to Waterkloof with their new additions. It used the Buccaneer in the Naval Strike/Interdiction roles, and was finally stood down in 1991.
