101 Task Force - (0 members)

101 Task Force (101 TF) [Afr: 101 Taakmag] was established at Rundu on 14 November 1975. The Task Force headquarters started functioning at Rundu under the command of Major-General A.J. van Deventer, previously the commanding general of 1 SA Corps. The Operational Area was now divided into 1,2 and 3 Military Areas, all three under the command of Task Force 101 Headquarters and Major-Gen. van Deventer. The South West Africa Command, which over the preceding years had been responsible for all operational actions in South West Africa south of the border of 1 Military Area, then effectively also came under the command of Task Force 101 for the conduct of operations. The headquarters of 101 Task Force was moved to Grootfontein in March 1976
