| 11 Field Engineer Regiment - (3 members)
11 Field Engineer Regiment [Afr: 11 Veldgenieregiment] was originally established as 11 Veldeskadron [Eng: 11 Field Squadron], a Citizen Force engineer unit, at Regent park in Johannesburg in 1939. The unit was later renamed to its English equivalant, 11 Field Squadron, some time before it was upgraded to regimental status and became 11 Field Engineer Regiment (maybe around 1988 as the regimental flash, displaying a white horse in a rhombus, has been approved in 1988). The original generic design used for all CF Engineer Field Squadrons' shoulder flashes was approved in 1973 (as per 13 Field Squadron Art Card) Link me to this Unit |
