About The War In Angola
First approaches of the FNLA to South Africa

On 25 February 1975, representatives of the FNLA approached the South African Embassy in Trafalgar Square, London, with a request for armaments from Mr. Holden Roberto. The request came down to “40 to 50 pieces of light and medium ordnance with ammunition, as well as heavy infantry support weapons”. (SADF Archives)
