Good logistical supply is of cardinal importance for the success of all military operations. In the case of the South African operation in Angola, however logistics offered many problems.

A military logistics division is responsible for the planning, movement and re-supply of forces. After the relocation of personnel, logistics must ensure that supply requirements are established, obtained, stored, distributed, and withdrawn as needed, and that accommodation is provided.
