About The War In Angola

Filengemo settles in Tsumeb and Kombat

Operation Carrot 1979 While George and his group were busy with their murder campaign, Filengemo and Kanjama established their groups at Tsumeb and Kombat. In Tsumeb there were three and in Kombat five. The two members of George’s group which joined Filengemo brought the total to ten, with five at Tsumeb and five at Kombat. Initially they maintained a low profile and Filengemo made liaison visits from Tsumeb to Kombat in order to maintain control over Kanjama’s group. Both groups managed to survive from 21 March to the end of May/beginning of June.
