| Pierre was killed in action while he was on hot pursuit of a terrorist group of about 45 men strong. The paratroopers were outnumbered by 3 to 1. Pierre was walking at almost point when he took the shots. He died together with two other paratroopers that day, Hannes Greyling and Corrie vd Nest. 6 SWAPO terrorists were confirmed dead. |
