A single-engined light reconnaissance plane used for navigational and scouting puposes, used by the SADF during the Border War. The C.4M Kudu was developed by Atlas Aviation of South Africa, based on the AM-3C Bosbok's wings and enjin. The Kudu first flew in 1974. Roles performed by the Kudu in SAAF service included: Radio relay (referred to as 'Telstar duty' by the SAAF); Casevac; Liaison; Supply missions
