Captured FAPLA/Cuban vehicles being driven to the rear for redistribution to UNITA. The primary SADF goal was after blunting the FAPLA/Cuban advance to crush UNITA, to inflict losses to prevent a further attack the following dry season or two. All captured equipment, apart from a few trophy's, were to be handed over to UNITA, whereafter the SADF would train a small conventional contingent to better counter future conventional FAPLA/Cuban incursions.
