| 2 Anti-Aircraft Control and Report Troop - (0 members)
2 Anti-Aircraft Control and Report Troop [Afr: 2 Lugafweerbeheer en Rapporttroep] and 1 AA Control and Report Troop were both established as bilingual units of the Citizen Force on 1 Apr 1969. They were only formed in Apr 1970 when their first intake was taken on strength. Their task was to provide AA controllers and staff for the AA Control Centre, which in turn supplied AA Regts with `filtered information', early warning and fire control orders. SADF Order 29/74 included one Permanent Force and six Citizen Force AA Regts and two Control and Report Troops as units of the SA Artillery (AA) organisation. 1 AA Control and Report Troop was amalgamated with 2 AA Control and Report Troop from 1 Aug 1975 to form 2 AA Control and Report Unit [Afr: 2 Lugafweerbeheer en Rapporteenheid]. The unit was headquartered at Vereeniging and eventually disbanded on 1 Jan 1979.
