Far North Command

Find Another UnitBrief Description
Far North Command - (2 members)

Established in 1984, the Far North Command was one of ten regional commands which, with the Walvis Bay Military Area, made up the Territorial Force. As in the case with the Eastern Transvaal Command, it was also actually considered a theatre and therefore, unlike the other commands, had the responsibility for conventional operations within its area. It was commanded by a major-general, while the others were commanded by brigadiers.
