32 Battalion Veterans Association (32BnVA)
On 20 November 2004 the 32 Battalion Veterans Association was reactivated at a special meeting just outside Pretoria. The meeting was attended by 26 former members of the unit - a battalion that has received international recognition for its role in the South African Border War, in particular for its special operations in Angola during the Cold War. Although the unit was disbanded in 1993, the Association has a membership of over 500 members and although many members still live in South Africa, the Association is also well represented all over the world. The objectives of the association are as follow: 1. To act as a platform for social interaction between former members of 32 Battalion. 2. To honour and preserve the traditions of the battalion, to preserve its memorabilia and to promote the public image of 32 Battalion. 3. To aqcuire the necessary funding in order to achieve the above.

RE: 32 Battalion Veterans Association (32BnVA)

19/05/2013, annual 32BN VA Savate day wreath ceremony, with a great bunch of people. I was fortunate to also lay a wreath on behalf of all those soldiers who served inside Angola 30 years ago — at Voortrekker Monument.
