|The Memorable Order of Tin Hats have been helping fellow comrades in need since 1927. The Moth was founded on the 7th May 1927 by Charles Evenden, later to be known as MOTH 0. The idea of the Order, then and now is to help fellow comrades in need, either financially or physically and to remember all servicemen who have answered the Sunset Call, both in war and peace time. The Moth consists of the following:
The three MOTH ideals
True Comradeship, Mutual Help, Sound Memory
- Provincial Dugouts
- District Dugouts
- T.C. (True Comradeship) by practising front line friendship in civilian life;
- M.H. (Mutual Help) by acknowledging the personal and collective obligation to help each other as in front line service;
- S.M. (Sound Memory) by remembering the fallen as a living companionship and to serve their memory in practical actions which rise above divisions of social status, race, or politics.
