We just finished our Attempt on 47 Brigade (16 Sept 1987) scenario last night.... The South Africans were a bit too gung-ho and lost too many vehicles and casualties! In one engagement they lost an entire troop of Ratel-90s as well as the Combat Group commander in a T-54/5 tank ambush - while they gave as well as they received, it boded ill for the entire attack, despite massive earlier successes with the G-5s. Two air-strikes actually hit a few enemy troops and vehicles, but one strike went entirely off the table! So much for the accuracy of the "long-toss"!

Scenario, Gallery and Battle Report to be posted soon...

See the Historical Accounts section to read what actually happened...

PS. Thanks, Lindsay, for playing FAPLA for a change... looks like you actually enjoyed it!! And Alan, Harry and Bruce, for attempting to take on Lindsay's formidable array of defences....

And thank you, Bruce... for presenting me with that awesome 1/72nd scale model of a G-5, as well as the Ratel-81. Luckily for me it wasn't a BM-21!!!
